Arvor festivals

The Arvor Festivals are organised by the Vannes Festival Committee and celebrate Breton culture on 15^th August every year.

Wednesday 13^th, Thursday 14^th and Friday 15^th August

Vannes dedicates the 15^th of August celebrations to Breton culture, expressing its most lively aspects. Breton shows, (25 circles and “bagadou” pipe-bands are invited), street entertainment, parades, ancient trades, ovations for the musicians, fest-noz and fireworks all fervently express the attachment of the ancient capital of the Duchy of Britanny to its traditions. A festive folk weekend.
