Selective sorting
The simple processes of selective sorting make it possible to re-use 40% to 60% of the contents of our dustbins.
Selective sorting is the responsibility of the Communauté d'agglomération (urban area community).
Private houses
Door-to-door collection
Selective collection in housing areas is based on the use of yellow and blue bags which are collected once a week from in front of each house.
Apartment blocks
Using the same colour code as for private houses, apartment buildings are equipped with bags, containers or chutes. In that way, residents can leave their sorted waste when they wish.
