How to get here

By car, train, plane or boat: the different ways of getting to Vannes.

By road

The Vannes region has benefited from major investments that have provided it with very good dual carriageway links to regional cities and Paris.
A network of expressways and motorways means you can quickly reach the main towns in the West of France:
Vannes is an hour’s drive from Rennes, Nantes and Quimper; Brest is less than two hours away.

The journey from Vannes to Paris takes four hours by expressway and motorway.

By train

Vannes is less than three hours from Paris by high-speed train. There are several trains every day. When the new section of high-speed track is finished between Le Mans and Rennes the time for this journey will drop to 2 hours 20 minutes.

By plane

Vannes is an hour away from Nantes Atlantic international airport and Rennes airport by dual carriageway.

Vannes is also an hour and a half away from Paris, with four flights a day from Lorient.

Vannes-Meucon airfield is 10 minutes from the town centre.

By sea

Vannes has a leisure boating harbour situated in the very heart of the town.
