The new face of the harbour

Vannes town council launched the first tranche of the renovation and upgrading work on the port area in January 2007.
From January 2008 the banks of the port will have a completely new look, with a more aesthetic design while at the same time being more practical for port users: a comprehensive new landscape perfect for walks.

Grand prix national du fleurissement (National flowering competition)

In 2005, the national jury of Flowered Town and Villages awarded Vannes the special "Grand Prix National de Fleurissement" label for the third time in succession. It highlighted "the remarkable effort" made by the town to improve the quality of life of the people of Vannes.
