Vannes council has published a guide describing all these initiatives accessible to everyone, young and not so young, associations and businesses.
This guide describes the facilities provided for the general public, in the “Médiacap”, the Young people's Information Centre, the Association Centre, the “Henri Matisse Centre”, Multimedia Libraries and Community Centres.
These places offer:
- free Internet access with user support,
- beginner training in the form of personal assistance or group workshops,
- access to open source software (via the website),
- child/teenager workshops via the CAF’s (family allowance fund) “Tickets sports-loisirs” (Sport and Leisure tokens) and “Contrat Temps Libre” (Leisure Time Contract) programmes,
- equipment available for businesses, for example a videoconferencing service.
The guide also contains fact sheets and tips to improve surfing and how to communicate … between websurfers!
This guide is available from the reception desks in the centres listed above and at the Town Hall and Coucil Office reception desks.
