Information & communication technologies

Also known as "new technologies", information and communication technologies relate to the resources needed to process information and communicate using networks. Every sector is affected by these technologies and the possibilities are endless.

In town councils, these technologies are divided up into three main headings:

the installation of networks and broadband – optical networks, relations with operators

services to citizens – e-administration, web sites, on-line formalities, interactive map

users and user guidance and assistance – digital forums for the public, campaigns in the schools and associations and facilities for companies.

For many years now Vannes council has been addressing all these issues and its commitment is recognised throughout France (Ville Internet @@@@).

This heading sets out the important initiatives that have been undertaken in this ever-changing sector.

The system allows you to switch from the plan to the bird's eye views and back. The user positions himself on a specific address. Permanent links are in place between the content of the site and the plan.
